NewsMail helps find missing yacht

A BURNETT Heads marina resident was elated to find his missing boat, thanks to coverage in the pages of the NewsMail.

Terry Morton popped into Golden Casket Newsagency in Bourbong St yesterday to pick up a copy of the paper, and got the surprise of his life when he saw his Evelyn Vee.

Mr Morton lived on his boat in the Burnett Heads Marina before it broke its mooring at the weekend and he lost it to the ravages of the river.

"I live on my yacht - it's my home. It's missing at the moment, along with my yellow trimaran," he said.

"I was searching for my yacht, I couldn't find it anywhere. But I found it in the NewsMail, it's unbelievable.

"It will take 15 days for the water to go down now."
