750 dope plants unearthed

A YEAR-LONG police operation in which 750 cannabis plants were seized from a property at Dallarnil has come to a close.

Six people have been charged with 18 offences as a result of Operation Unearth Cooloola, which targeted commercial cannabis production.

As well as the 750 plants discovered at Dallarnil, police found 450 cannabis plants at Cooloola and a further 430 plants and seedlings at Gympie.

One of those arrested in relation to the drug operation was a 33-year-old man from the Biggenden area.

He was charged with producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing things used in the commission of a crime.

Investigations are continuing, with police expecting to make further arrests in coming days.
