33,000kg of excess food donated to good cause

COLES at Bundaberg has donated more than 33,000kg of food to people in need through its partnership with national fresh food rescue organisation SecondBite.

Bundaberg Living World Church and its members have benefited from the deal, being able to provide up to 50 meals each week for the community.

Throughout July, Coles supermarkets will put a spotlight on food wastage and raise money for SecondBite by selling food storage labels to help customers make the most of their leftovers.

As of today, Coles customers can also donate to SecondBite to help provide nutritious meals to people in need across Australia.
