UPDATE: A 30-YEAR-OLD man who allegedly shot his father in an incident at Woodgate has appeared in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court.

Lee Dennis Avery made no application for bail after being charged with grievous bodily harm following Friday's alleged incident.

Avery was remanded in custody to appear again on October 1.  

EARLIER: POLICE have charged a man following an alleged shooting incident that occurred at Woodgate on July 17.

A 30-year-old Woodgate man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court this morning.
