1.5m shark lurking at popular Coast surf spot

A 1.5 metre shark has been spotted lurking at Kawana Beach this morning.

Shark website Dorsal reported the sighting after a member of the public saw the shark about 9.30am.

"The shark was chasing bait fish and breached out of the same wave a surfer was on," Dirsal's report said.

"(The surfer) Exited just in case but was happy chasing bait fish."
