$10K grant for netball courts

BUNDABERG Netball Association has received a $10,000 grant to help with the rebuilding of its facility following the devastating floods.

Westpac Retail and Business Bank group executive Jason Yetton made the announcement yesterday at Daph Geddes Park while also announcing a new $1.5 million "state-of-the-art" Westpac branch in West Bundaberg.

This follows Westpac's recent donations of $5000 each to Gin Gin Little Athletics, Ozcare Men's Hostel Bundaberg, and Bundaberg and District Junior Tennis Association.

Bundaberg Netball Association secretary Shelley Naumann said the grant would help get the sport back to where it was.

"It will enable us to get the grass courts fixed so juniors can get back playing," she said.

The new branch will replace the one at Sugarland Shoppingtown.
