10 thugs bash man, woman in horrifying attack

A FLEET of thugs in 10 cars have bashed two people at The Spit overnight in a shocking attack.

Police are investigating after two people were left with facial injuries when ten cars pulled up at a carpark at 11.10pm, the Gold Coast Bulletin reports.

A man who arrived in a ute, started attacking a 20-year-old man who had been standing in the carpark talking with others.

The victim attempted to run away but his attacker continued to bash him.

A 20-year-old woman tried to stop the assault but the man then turned on her, bashing her.

She was also attacked by females who had arrived in the contingent of cars.

During the assault, the woman's car keys and mobile phone were stolen.

The offenders left the scene in their vehicles.

The man and woman both sustained facial injuries and were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.

Investigations are continuing.
