Charges over Gaeta burglaries

A 30-YEAR-OLD man has been charged over a string of recent burglaries in the Mt Perry, Gin Gin and Gaeta areas.

Bundaberg Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Senior Sergeant Joe Hildred said the man was served a notice to appear in court while he was at the Arthur Gorrie prison in Brisbane.

Det Snr Sgt Hildred said the man was facing 12 charges including four charges of entering a dwelling and committing an offence, eight counts of entering premises, three charges of wilful damage and stealing a vehicle.

He will face the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on February 22.

Det Snr Sgt Hildred said numerous items of the stolen property were found on a Webster Rd, Gaeta, property last Tuesday.

A 31-year-old man and 28-year-old woman on the property were both charged with drug offences.

The NewsMail has been asked to clarify the pair were not involved in the thefts.
