Emily and Chloe Jackson took part in the Little Miss Pin-Up competition at the Garterbelts and Gasoline Nostalgia Festival in early May.
THE shoes, the dresses and the sheer class have all combined to create a deliciously appealing style for Bargara single mother Tanya Jackson.
The young mum, who operates an online burlesque and pin-up clothing business, has been so enamoured by the 1940s and 1950s style that she is organising a series of workshops in Bundaberg so women can learn how to dress like ladies from the era.
"(I was attracted by) the class," she said.
"You don't have to dress like a skank to go out.
"You don't have to reveal skin or wear shorts with the pockets hanging out the bottom to be sexy."
Ms Jackson has invited Ms Pixie from Boogie Bop Dames to Bundaberg, Hervey Bay and Gladstone to conduct hair make-up and modelling workshops.
"The women will bring their own make-up and are taught using that how to do their own make-up in the 1940s and 1950s style," she said.
"It's about teaching women how to look sexy in just 15 minutes, which as a mum I know can be hard to find."
Ms Jackson said the workshops would also teach women how to set their hair in the classic pin-up style and pose in the same styles from as women from the '40s and '50s. The workshops had already had a huge amount of interest with only a few spots left.
The mum's love for the era has spread to her children Emily, 10, and Chloe, 7, who have entered in the Little Miss Pinup competition at the Garterbelts and Gasoline Nostalgia Festival in Tamborine Mountain in early May.
Ms Jackson is also in the process of preparing her own application to compete in the Miss Pin-Up Australia competition.
She said she will hear in March to find out if she has made the competition.
