MULTIPLE Queensland Fire and Rescue Service crews responded to reports of a large bushfire burning in grassland and forest on a private property near the Warrego Highway, 22km east of Charleville about 6.45pm last night.
The fire burnt approximately 3000 acres of land and at one stage threatened an olive plantation in the area.
Fire crews worked to contain the fire by constructing containment lines and conducting backburning.
The fire was contained overnight and fire crews are expected to return to the scene today to monitor the fire.
No injuries were reported and no homes were threatened by this fire.
