Man killed in light plane crash

POLICE attended the scene of a light plane crash that claimed the life of a man at Dirranbandi on Tuesday afternoon.
Initial information suggests the aircraft came down about 25 kilometres south-west of Dirranbandi sometime between 11.40am and 2.45pm.
The man aged in his 40’s died at the scene.
Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau are investigating.
