Roselyn Haigh with some of the soaps she displayed at last year’s Sew What’s Crafty Expo.
IF YOU'RE keen to learn new craft skills and techniques, be inspired and enjoy a wide variety of workshops and displays, the 13th annual Sew What's Crafty Expo is probably for you.
The long-running show, organised by the Bundaberg Christian College Parents' and Friends' Association, will once again bring businesses and buyers together for one big craft extravaganza, starting tomorrow and finishing on Saturday.
Event co-ordinator Carine Dart said after humble beginnings, the expo had expanded to include not just the Civic Centre, but also the Parish Hall for display sites and workshop facilities.
There will be a range of businesses displaying goods in more than 50 displays and workshop areas.
Also available on both days is the popular Sew What's Yummy Cafe, where you can enjoy a variety of tasty treats.
From beads to butterflies, scrapbooking to soap making and porcelain dolls to paper craft, the program is full of activity that Ms Dart said would interest adults and children alike.
“Everyone is welcome to come along to learn and be inspired,” Ms Dart said.
“We are always changing, introducing new competitions and canvassing new stallholders.”
This year there are also many great prizes on offer, including a holiday package that consists of three nights at King's Beach for four people, passes to Australia Zoo and a dinner voucher.
Competitions include adults' sewing and scrapbooking and children's paddle-pop art and scrapbooking. Entry costs are $5 for adults, $4 for pensioners, $2.50 for school students and free for under school-age children. A full program can be found online at www.sewwhatscrafty.org.au.
