Jibes fly as five-a-side hots up

BUNDABERG'S media outlets last week started the banter, stating their case for domination of the five-a-side football competition being held during summer, but they may have some competition.

Bundaberg juniors are rushing to the soccer shack in the remaining few weeks of the winter competition to join the competition and they believe they have the skill to go all the way.

“It's a great social atmosphere and having fun is the name of the game,” Football Bundaberg development officer Richard Mitchell said.

“The games cater for everyone from under-6 all the way through to us more mature punters.”

Anyone who feels that the end of the season has come too quickly is encouraged to gather a team and get involved.
