BLUSHING brides-to-be got tips on everything from make-up to table decorations at the PCYC’s annual Wedding and Formal Expo at the Bundaberg Civic Centre yesterday.

Sarah McLachlen and fiancé Clayton Bashforth said they had received a number of tips and ideas for their nuptials in November next year.

“We haven’t really organised a lot, so we thought today would be a good way to find out what’s out there,” Miss McLachlen said.

While Miss McLachlen was just starting out, future bride Sally Greer already had her December wedding planned.

“We just came to get a few more ideas and see if there is anything we have missed,” Miss Greer said.

Bundaberg PCYC function co-ordinator Wendy Irwin said about 700 people visited the expo.

Even after the success, there was no rest for Ms Irwin.

“When I open the doors in the morning, in my head I start to plan the next year’s expo,” she said.
