Easter treat at winery

EASTER Sunday will be celebrated in style at Brierley Winery with an afternoon of fine wine, gourmet food and jazz.

The event, Rhythm and Reds, will be held at the vineyard at 574 Rainbow Road, Childers.

Entertainer Fred Troughton will perform a collection of ballads, jazz and cabaret standards from noon until 4pm.

Guests will have plenty to eat with a huge selection of Mediterranean-style gourmet food prepared by winery owner Sue Brierley on offer.

There will be a $5 cover charge and children under 15 years will be admitted free.

Some fortunate guests might even be lucky enough to take home a prize from the event.

Mrs Brierley said bookings were essential.

“Places are already half booked,” she said.

“The public will need to book as soon as possible if they wish to attend.”
