Bolters prove to be champions

A SHAUN Parter slog-fest helped Brothers Bolters to victory against Across The Waves in yesterday's Division 2 Grand Final match up at Salter Oval.

A Shaun Parter slog-fest helped Brothers Bolters to victory against Across The Waves in yesterday’s Division 2 Grand Final match up at Salter Oval.

The fourth-placed batsman batted the duration of the innings earning 89 runs off 92 balls.

In third place heading in to the finals, Brothers Bolters suprised many beating favourites Across The Waves in comfortable fashion.

Brothers Bolters won the toss and sent Across The Waves in to bat against the hungry Michael Lovett and Greg Jensen.

Opening batsman Warick Hawes knocked up a solid 34 but his off-siders Isaac Maher and Scott Muldoon succumbed to stinging Michael Lovett deliveries with Maher bowled for a duck and Muldoon managing just two.

Callum Stitt found form managing a handy 33 off 25 balls before being caught and bowled by Zach Liverton.

Damien Noffke headed a surge for Across The Waves earning 52 runs with Miles Donovan and Dean Marles following suit with 21 and 20 respectively.

Across The Waves fell away quickly in the bottom end of the order with Mitch Waters caught off a Greg Jensen ball on eight runs.

Michael Lovett again made his presence known cleaning up Stan Brown and Noel Stitt for ducks and leaving Across The Waves 10/200.

Jason Welsh took to the crease for Brothers Bolters earning 25 runs before being bowled by Stan Brown.

Mitch Waters found form with tricky deliveries dismissing Derek James for a duck and Paul Trace for five runs.

Michael Jensen regained momentum for Brothers Bolters knocking up 27 runs but big man Shaun Parter stole the show batting with ease to score 89 runs.

He batted the remainder of the innings and kept the scoreboard ticking over despite his offsiders falling in quick succession, with Brothers Bolters romping home 8/206.

 

Division three

Across The Waves Gold hammered it home in the Division three Grand Final at Salter park yesterday notching up 10/254 against Burnett Head’s 10/110.

 

Division four

Brothers Pink comfortably beat Across The Waves Blue in the Division Four Grand Final yesterday.

Knocking up 116 runs with only four wickets lost they easily matched Across The Waves’ total of 10/112.
