The line up for the ninth series of popular UK reality show I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here has finally been revealed, less than a week before filming begins in the “Australian jungle” of Dulguigan, near Murwillumbah.

Former model Sam Fox, actress Lucy Benjamin, model and actor Stuart Manning, design duo Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan, US actor George Hamilton, snooker player Jimmy White, singer Sabrina Washington, chef Gino D’Acampo, dancer Camilla Dallerup and TV star Kim Woodburn make up the contestants list.

The announcement yesterday caps off months of rumours in the British tabloids which claimed celebrities including ex-Playboy model Pamela Anderson and singers Brian McFadden and Robbie Williams were amongst those who would be coming to the Tweed.

The popular UK show forces contestants to ditch their lifestyles of the rich and the famous for some time in the bush with competitions such as the bushtucker trials, which can include munching on crocodile eyeballs, scorpions and even kangaroo testicles.

Executive producer Natalka Znak said the celebrities have no idea what is about to hit them.

“I’m delighted with the celebrities that have agreed to take part this year, they are fascinating and fun group,” Ms Znak said.

“The surprises come thick and fast in this series and there’s a shock in store right from the go. I can’t wait to see how they cope with it all and how they will get on with each other.”

Celebrities are voted off over the course of the show by viewers in the UK.

British tabloids are also running rampant that model Katie Price, who appeared on the show in 2004, will make an appearance at some stage as a mystery guest.

A spin-off behind the scenes show, I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here Now, will be presented by Caroline Flack, who once dated Prince Harry of Wales and the winner of last year’s series, actor Joe Swash.
