BUNDABERG students have access to one of the most equitable universities in the country - the Good Universities Guide has shown.
In a statement, the university said it was among the top three universities in Australia for providing wide access to people of all backgrounds and its graduates were at the top of the earnings ladder.
“According to the annual report's ratings manager Richard Evered, graduates from regional Queensland, as a cohort, 'were among the nation's most employed and best paid',” the statement said.
The university received five out of five stars for access as well as graduate starting salaries, with four stars for positive graduate outcomes.
Professor Scott Bowman, who started his second week as CQUniversity vice-chancellor yesterday, said access and outcomes were areas in which CQUniversity led the nation.
“We want to build on that, make CQUniversity even more relevant and meaningful to more central Queenslanders,” he said.
“Over the next few years we'll introduce new programs and build up Central Queensland's university cities (like) Bundaberg.”
