LOCALS Institution and Unique Girl took out the two top grade events at the Bundaberg Greyhound Racing Club's weekend meeting, but it was Pomona owner/trainer Allan Lang who stole the show.
Lang claimed the quinella in the maiden with litter siblings Emergency Room and Cloud Tornado and added the Hill's Carrying Service Fifth Grade later in the afternoon with another of their litter sisters, No Reaction.
Emergency Room ($3.10) had been runner-up on debut at Albion Park on November 4, but had been unplaced at her only two subsequent outings, also on the same track.
She won by 3.25 lengths from the more fancied Cloud Tornado ($1.80), which had been among the placings at four of his seven prior races, mostly at the Gold Coast.
Third place-getter Miss Tirroan was a further 11.25 lengths away, and Lang looks set for plenty of success for the Shirdon's Alarm-Everybody Cries progeny.
While his maiden duo were having their first Bundaberg starts, No Reaction has done all of her racing in the city.
She was also well supported, paying $2.40, and she took her record to two wins and two seconds from seven attempts when she broke a three-race losing streak, one length clear of Truly Final.
One of Noosaville dog Truly Final's litter brothers, the aptly named Truly a Leader, had got the money earlier in the day in the third and fourth grade.
Truly a Leader, is however, trained in the Rum City by David Raines and he upstaged a strong field, winning handsomely from Kitty Foyle and Extremities.
But Extremities' owner-trainer Lorraine Isles also was among the winners with one of her litter sisters and kennel-mates, ultra-promising Institution, in the next event, the Free For All, taking her record to seven wins, three seconds and a third from 13 starts.
Institution went on her winning ways, completed a hat-trick in advance of Red Bow Tie and Kay Jay.
Two further Bundaberg trainers shared in the spoils on the program with John Moore clinching the quinella in the fourth and fifth grade with track debutant Havability and Abundia Girl, and Coonar Beach taking out the DGZ Chartered Accountants Fifth Grade for Rod Leaver.
Very Flash, a daughter of glamour sire Brett Lee and from the Tingoora kennels of Neil Perkins, saluted the judge in the remaining event, another fifth grade.
