WHILE calling for a ban on junk food in and near schools, Australian Medical Association of Queensland president Dr Shaun Rudd inadvertently offended many tuckshop ladies.
"The school tuckshops are supposed to be healthy places but the reality is they (are not)," Dr Rudd said.
"We've all seen tuckshop ladies and there's a reason why they've got tuckshop arms."
Dr Rudd has since apologised for his comments.
Do you think he was out of line?
Or, do you think a strong stance on healthy eating at schools is required?
