Sunday a fun day for Rheed

MEMBERS of the Bundaberg community are encouraged to turn out on Sunday for a public celebration for Paralympian Rheed McCracken.

The event, running at Alexandra Park from 11am, will be put on by Bundaberg Regional Council and will include a sausage sizzle and some free drinks.

The 15-year-old Bundaberg High School student has just returned from the London Games with a bronze and silver medla, following his stunning performances in the 200m and 100m T34 track events against much older rivals.

Members of the public are encouraged to go along and enjoy the council's hospitality while they congratulate Rheed personally.
