Second-hand or treasure... that's the beauty of op-shops
YOU know that item that commands attention whenever you wear it, it's unique but best of all you bought it for a steal?
That's the beauty of op-shops.
Every item in this shoot is from Endeavour Clothing on 167 Auckland St.
Endeavour has a range of shoes, clothes and accessories and also covers male fashion, plus costumes, manchester, bric-a-brac, books, cds and dvds.
Retail assistant Danielle Beretta styled all of the looks and demonstrates all you need is some imagination when searching through the second-hand racks.
She describes the thrill of op-shopping as a treasure hunt. You never know what you will walk out with.
The store doesn't just sell pre-loved pieces - end of season stock is also donated and proceeds from sales go into the local community.
Just finding one fresh item can do wonders to update a tired wardrobe.
Danielle recommends if you aren't sure where to start, look at the window displays or ask the shop assistant.
Thirteen-year-old Janaya Ray, who volunteers once a month at the store, has found many pieces that would make her peers envious like the white tunic dress featured in the photo gallery.
As Danielle said op-shop style is not what's in fashion, it's what you are.
Endeavour opening hours: M-F: 9-4.30pm, Sat: 9-noon, Sun: closed
