BUNDABERG chilli grower Trent De Paoli got a taste of the high pressure cooking that makes My Kitchen Rules a viewer favourite.
He was one of 12 Coles suppliers chosen to appear on the popular Channel 7 program, in an episode which will air tonight.
Austchilli has supplied Coles for 19 years, with over eight varieties of hand-picked chillies every day of the year.
"I think it's great that Coles are supporting Australian growers, and that we can promote Australian-grown produce is a great opportunity," Mr De Paoli said.
Mr De Paoli got to see a full day of shooting of the reality show and said it was "fairly intense".
"I take my hat off those guys," he said.
"The contestants have to isolate themselves and basically walk away from their families during shooting.
"It was interesting to go behind the scenes."
While Mr De Paoli wouldn't give away who was the winner during tonight's challenge, he said he was naturally biased towards any contestant using chilli.
