'Mini tornado' photographed near Gin Gin

PHOTOS of what appears to be a mini tornado near Gin Gin on a storm chasers Facebook site have emerged following last night's storm activity.

Gin Gin Police Sergeant Tim Marrinan  confirmed he was aware that what looked like a mini tornado had crossed the Bruce Hwy last night.

"It crossed the highway  near the Tim Fisher Bridge and proceeded into bushland near Bungadoo," he said.

Sgt Marrinan said police did  not received any call outs for assistance and there was no reports of injuries.

The SES also confirmed they did not take any calls for assistance last night.
