Police allege teen boy threatened with replica gun

A 39-YEAR-OLD Svensson Heights man has been charged after he allegedly threatened a teenage boy with a replica weapon at Hinkler Central on Thursday.

A police spokesman said the man had been charged with one count of common assault, going armed in a public place to cause fear and one count of possessing a dangerous drug

It will be alleged that just after 12pm a man approached a teenage boy in the shopping centre and has threatened him before producing a replica handgun and pointing it at him.

The man then left the scene in a vehicle.

Police located the man allegedly involved a short time later and took him into custody.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

The man will appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Friday.
