Man to appear in court over armed robbery

A MAN will appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court this morning charged with the armed robbery of a Moore Park Beach sports club.

It will be alleged the 26-year-old man entered the Club Ave business about 9.15pm last night and imitated that he was armed with a gun.

He allegedly threatened the 21-year-old staff member, before fleeing with a quantity of alcohol.

Police arrived on scene and found the man a short time later.

The man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and assault police.
