Get the full story before judging

WE have heard it all before, more than a thousand times: "If it's flooded, forget it".

It seems so obvious but people keep getting caught out all across the region.

It happened in Bundaberg early Sunday morning with three different drivers getting caught out.

Unfortunately, a 65-year-old Gin Gin man died when the car he was a passenger in got swept away at Wallaville. It's a tragic occurrence and I read a lot of Facebook likers being hard on the driver of the car.

The thing is, it's not always as easy as it seems.

I don't know the full story but I do know people can get caught out for a variety of reasons.

I was driving home from the office late Saturday night after keeping the website updated.

I hit water flowing across the road without even knowing it was there.

I was lucky not to crash but at night it's hard to see water on the road.

I suppose what I'm saying is give these people the benefit of the doubt.

There are a lot of idiots out there but sometimes people, despite their best intentions, just get caught in a bad situation.
