Counting continues in mayoral poll

UPDATED 11.55am: MORE than 830 votes now separate mayoral race front runners Mal Forman and Bill Trevor.

Mr Forman has slowly been increasing his lead over Mr Trevor ever since the former Bundaberg City deputy mayor surged to the front yesterday afternoon.

Mr Forman has 14,643 votes compared to Mr Trevor's 13,808.

UPDATED 10.50am: MAL Forman has increased his lead against Bill Trevor even further in the race for mayor.

Mr Forman is now about 760 votes ahead of Mr Trevor.

The former Bundaberg City deputy mayor has almost 14,330 votes compared to Mr Trevor's 13,565.

Sitting mayor Lorraine Pyefinch has also picked up a number of votes, increasing her tally to 8158.

Counting continues.

UPDATED 9am: COUNTING has continued in the mayoral election this morning with Mal Forman still in the lead.

The former Bundaberg City deputy mayor has 13,296 votes - 330 votes ahead of former Isis Shire mayor Bill Trevor on 12,966.

Sitting mayor Lorraine Pyefinch is in third with just 7716 votes.

Moore Park Beach man Leo Karnauchow sits well back with 1051 votes.
