Petition to fight domestic violence

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the Minister for Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services the lack of a nationally accredited behavioural change program for perpetrators of domestic violence in Bundaberg, and the lack of a funded healthy relationships program such as Love Bites as part of the state high school curriculum.

Given the consistently high rates of domestic violence in the Bundaberg region, your petitioners therefore request the House to provide funding for these programs to help break the cycle of violence in our community.
